Positively Naperville is a publication powered by a group of community minded people committed to spreading a positive message about community service, special events, important fund-raising activities and Naperville's rich history.
At Lynmar Lending Group we realize that we have a responsibility to give back to the communities that we live and work in. To fulfill this responsibility we have chosen to participate, through charitable giving as well as volunteer activities, to those programs that are near to our hearts and can positively impact the community. Below is a list of the events that we are currently involved in.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society hold an annual walk in Naperville to raise awareness and funds for research. We have been participating in this event for several years and area always in awe when we watch the hundreds of walkers start their walk into the night with their balloons held high. As you may know, for the walk each person is given a balloon with a light inside to represent the light that is inside all of us. Lynmar sponsored the balloon tent this year. What a thrill it was to hand out the white balloons to each of the cancer survivors!

The Jeanine Nicarico Memorial Fund for Literacy supports grants to individual educators, or entire schools, in an effort to promote a deeper understanding and teaching of literacy, to enrich instructional programs, to provide opportunities to link literacy between the home and the school, and to lay foundations that will develop life-long readers. Mary Bazan has had the privilege to be on the board of the Jeanine Nicarico Memorial Fund for Literacy for the past 4 years.</td>

The Run for Reading, established in 2001, was created as a way to continue the efforts of the Jeanine Nicarico Memorial Fund for Literacy to honor the memory of Jeanine by acquiring and distributing resources that promote a deeper understanding of literacy and provide enriched literacy opportunities for the learners within the Naperville community. The exciting part of the Run for Reading, as well as the Fund, is that it benefits the literacy programs in both Districts 203 & 204, with over 50 grants totaling nearly $70,000 awarded. Mary Bazan, along with Mary Kelly, Assistant Principal of Thayer J. Middle School, have acted as Co-Race Directors since the race began.
